You're going to have to wait until this afternoon for the MP3s. Sorry. Please be patient. And I'll have more to say then.

Comments:
whats this you said? you are leaving WCSB? Can you elaborate here?

I'll just say it's something involving station politics. I'm not being forced to leave, but it feels too awkward to stay.

Later, I'm going to post a detailed friends-only post on my MySpace about it.

I'm sorry that I can't say any more.

thats cool.
trust me, being a former member, I know where you are coming from.
Lets just say when I left, it wasnt my choice and there were some "lies" told by some member of the executive staff that really peeved me during my "renewal meeting. Then basically demanded that I "must" take a show on a certain time on a certain day or I was out. Couldn't do it even i wanted that time slot...If its anything like that, you're better off.
You will be missed.

It's a lot like that, but it happened to someone else and I'm just pissed off that nothing could be done about it. Could you e-mail me? I'll tell you about it if you really want to know.

Unacceptable. Don't let the bastards win. This is nothing that can't be solved with violence.

boojiboy

sent you email...

Well, of course, I don't know anything, but I think you should consult higher authorities. My experience tells me that things don't get any easier anywhere else. Office politics happens everywhere, and it is just as difficult, even more so, in the non-profit sector, where market forces don't play a final arbiter role in resolving company disputes.

I'm sorry that you feel you have to quit.

Why aren't you staying and fixing what you believe to be broken?
Do more people feel this way?
Is there going to be a mass exodus from the station?

I’m not up on the insider stuff around the station and I’m surprised at the pettiness and sour grapes of so many people.

you'd think with a non-profit cooperative like WCSB there would be more care toward how individuals are treated. apparently not the case. that's the last place in the world where power games should be played. obviously i'm just a listener and don't know all the details, but i'm just giving my 2 cents 'cause i'm gonna miss your show.

Nooooooooo!

that's terrible news!

I support whatever decision you make and will be sorry to see the show end.

be well,
your #1 fan in VT
yow!

this sucks! first you, now I find out that DJ Heroine from 91.1 might be moving to NYC this spring! Thanks for getting me through the morning at work on Mondays, and thanks for turning me on to Ladytron, The Field Mice, M. Hecker and others. I hope you reconsider, or how about moving to 91.1? take care and good lick.

that sucks, i'm really sad you're leaving the station but i'm sure you have your reasons. anyway, your listeners will always be supportive if you do come back, and thanks for all the great shows. i can't tell you how many times i was late to first period electronics on thursdays in my high school years just because i had to chill in my car and finish hearing whatever song you were playing at the time. thanks and hope you can resolve your issues with the station!

I'll just say here that there will be no mass exodus from the station. In fact, everyone who has talked about my departure with me has asked me to reconsider. No one has said anything like, "Good for you! You're doing the right thing." I'm not saying that it's what people should be saying, I'm just emphasizing that I'm the only one who feels good about this.
