a couple more notes about the show

Just in case anyone did get the memo that you're supposed to come here now, I have a couple more things to say about today's show...

First, you may have wondered why I did a couple of hour long sets instead of talking more. Part of it was that I couldn't think of anything really good to say. I guess that I could have talked about the "End of Sergio" saga and about how much of the stuff that "Emo Sergio" said is stuff that I'd actually agree with. Because I agree with some of it. But I was tired and my brain wasn't at full capacity, so I couldn't think of what to say about that.

The other reason was that I actually listened to an old Boogiepop episode last night (I needed to get the theme off an old CD), and I actually did a long set on the episode, and I just liked the way it sounded. It sounded like a really good mix tape. So, I just liked the way it sounded.

So, anyone want to make me your radio station's music director? ^_^

No, really? Do you. I'm available...

Oh, and why did I decide to bring back Boogiepop instead of doing something else? Simply because Colin Clary mentions the show in a couple of his songs, one of which I played during the show today ("I'm glad you like my songs, Liz"). There's also another one called "Boogiepop Rocks", which he did as a potential theme song for the show. For those of you who don't know, Colin Clary is in the Smittens, Let's Whisper, and a bunch of other bands, as well as his own solo project. I think he's dreamy, so it's important and flattering to me that he mentioned Boogiepop in a couple of songs.

Finally, if you are actually coming here and reading this, please leave a comment below. I don't have a counter or anything, so I have no other way of finding out if people got the memo to come here. Thanks!

And if you're looking for the links to download today's show, look at the post below this one.

Glad your back, at least for a time. I have to download yesterday's show, as well as last week's, because too much is going on at school right now.
Turns out the SaveFile.com server is down:

"Download server is down at the moment."
"Please try again later in 10 minutes."
so, you're still on tuesdays from 9 to 11, right?
Being back at boogiepopwcsb.blogspot.com generates a bit of nostalgia for me. Maybe some video and web media critique might be something in which BPDNS might engage? Boogiepop does have some knew film dialogue in the intro and I wonder what film it and the original audio clips are from; perhaps the listeners might want to see the films.
Oh no! That wasn't the intro! That was actually the first "song" of the show. It was a spoken word track by Miranda July. But Miranda July did go on to make the film "Me and You and Everyone We Know". ))<>((

I think I'm just confusing people right now. I don't want to confuse people! I want everyone to understand me perfectly. :(

Anyway, I don't know if I will actually make a new intro at some point. I think I'd want to do something with other film/TV clips, but I have no idea what I might want to use.
